Japan’s Peach Airlines Accept Bitcoins As Payment

Japan is becoming the first mover when it comes to Bitcoin. On April 1, Japan legalized Bitcoins and declared it as official mode of payment.

Following this announcement, various merchants in Japan announced that they will also accept Bitcoins in form of payments.

A recent news came in where “PEACH”, the low-cost airline operator announced that by the end of 2017, it will start accepting Bitcoins in form of payment.

“Now you can travel without your wallet. I think this is innovation; we’ll put all our energy into it.”, said CEO Shinichi Inoue  at a press conference.

Peach is also considering to install Bitcoin ATMs at the airport. Not only travelers will be able to convert any of their fiat currency to Bitcoins, but also it will allow them to enjoy shopping at the airport shops if the retail sectors also accepts Bitcoin in form of payments.
