The Fold app which allows users to make Bitcoin (BTC) payments, has just announced that users can now make bookings on Airbnb, through the app and pay with Bitcoin. The news was revealed in a tweet posted by Fold’s official Twitter.

As part of the addition, users will have 3% of BTC spent on Airbnb bookings, returned to them. With this, Airbnb joins Fold’s “Kickbacks Program” which allows users to get back some of their payment, with several companies returning anywhere from 2% as in the case of The Home Depot, all the way to 20% available with Starbucks. Other firms include Uber, Macy’s, Target, Hotels.com, Burger King, Amazon.com USA, Best Buy, and a few others as well. The Kickbacks Program began back in July but is only available in a few countries such as Canada, Ireland, Mexico, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Australia, and is largely dependent on the brand. Fold has also said that it’s working on adding many more brands to the platform sometime in the near future.

In late September, Fold announced that it had raised $2.5 million to expand its services, allowing its users to explore an option to make payments with fiat. By adding their credit cards, users can now choose to make payments with credit cards in addition to using a Lightning wallet.
