Upbit

An organization known simply as “Unknown Fund” has announced that it is ready to donate $75 million worth of Bitcoin (BTC) to any companies or startups that “directly or indirectly support the idea of anonymity.” According to an announcement on its website, the anonymous organization is interested in any entities that have a direction towards the protection of personal data, production of any tools that can be used for anonymity as well cryptocurrency and blockchain.

The organization is concerned about how easily private data can be misused and is channeling all of its efforts into curbing that tendency.

“The Unknown Fund sees the protection of personal data as one of the main challenges for modern man. The use of data has already become a powerful tool for manipulating people. The effectiveness of this tool is both amazing and frightening.”

The only thing known about members of the Unknown Fund is that they are all from several different countries and met for the first time on 4Chan, the popular anonymous English language imageboard. Also, the Unknown Fund has revealed that they have the full support of Anonymous, a decentralized international hacktivist group.

The Fund also adds that blockchain and cryptocurrencies are an incredible opportunity to ensure the protection of people’s rights and freedom and to also create a new system.
