Cryptocurrency exchange company Binance is planning to list a new set of fan tokens on Binance Launchpool. Binance announced plans to list the new group of tokens by sports-focused token platform Chiliz on the 23rd of December.
Notably, users can stake tokens on the Binance Launchpool for up to a month. Beginning from the 24th of December till the 23rd of January 2021, users will now be able to stake tokens like Binance Dollar, Binance Coin, and the Chiliz token against OG.
According to Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ), traditional sports and Esport industries have been participating more in the crypto industry in recent years. He also said:
“Fan tokens have been well-received by our users, and we are happy to work closer with Chiliz to continue providing access to them.”
Binance has announced the listing of Chiliz fan tokens for Juventus and PSG football clubs following the partnership between the two companies on the 14th of December.
Shortly after the listing, the token prices for Juventus and PSG increased significantly. PSG added 160%, and Juventus gained 80%. Apart from the Binance, the fan tokens also went active on two other exchange platforms. The exchanges are Paribu and UpBit.
Chiliz and Socios.com CEO Alexandre Dreyfus expressed his excitement with the spike in the tokens. He added that the company would be collaborating with more partners from the sports and entertainment sectors.
