In an official blog post, Binance has announced a new partnership with TravelByBit, a crypto travel booking platform, to create a travel rewards card that millions of customers can use to make payments on online travel platforms, using digital currency.

According to the announcement, holders of the card will have access to one-of-a-king travel deals and amazing discounts which they can use the card to purchase, in addition to the card functioning as a traditional prepaid debit card. The card will support platforms such as Booking.com, Agoda, Ctrip, Expedia and TravelbyBit.com, and will also facilitate payments in BTC, BNB, ONT and BUSD.

Speaking on the launch of the card, TravelbyBit CEO Caleb Yeoh said the new card will do a lot for crypto adoption:

“Many businesses that accept crypto for their services charge users a high premium, which poses a significant barrier to adoption. At TravelbyBit we want to make crypto useable, provide incentives for early adopters, and see crypto adoption grow. We are excited to work closely with Binance to bring crypto payments to travelers around the globe.”

Cryptocurrency payments for the travel industry is slowly gaining a bit more popularity. Last year, major South Korean crypto exchange Bithumb, announced a partnership that will allow travelers access more than 50,000 facilities, paying with crypto.
