In the aftermath of 1st August’s hard fork of Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash developers took a pledge of implementing requisite changes to the code for keeping it competitiv. With their latest announcement hinting at a proposed upcoming hard fork date, they seem to be very well sticking to their word. The Bitcoin Cash developers revealed that the  1st November fork will showcase changed software norms. For being activated from 13th of this month, the new software will need to twist and bend the rules prescribed in the initial Bitcoin blockchain split.

To be specific, the change will try to reverse a piece of code known as Emergency difficulty adjustment (EDA) rule which was set up to aid Bitcoin cash in luring in miners who are willing to secure its blockchain. Since both Bitcoin cash and Bitcoin make use of similar mining algorithm, miners who are operating on compatible hardware have been showing interest of switching between networks. The main motive behind EDA was to substantially bring down mining difficulty to attract more Miners and bring home profit figures. Developers however hold the view that the rule has already outlived the utility it held for the network.

A post was published for the same on Bitcoinabc.org . The post reads, “This is problematic [now] because it prevents consistently fast confirmations for users, and radically shifts the coin issuance schedule.”

Computing power provided to the Blockchain network over the 144 previous blocks shall power up the algorithm which will adjust every 600 seconds. In response to miner activity tracked in real-time basis, the difficulty will take much less time for being adjusted. The post also indicated that members of the development team are holding meetings with exchanges, miners are wallets for raising awareness regarding the same.
