Bittrex Announces Tokenized Stock Trading On Exchange Platform

Tokenized

Bittrex Global exchange is launching tokenized stocks for trading on its platform. Now, users can trade top stocks like Tesla, Apple, Netflix, and Amazon. Before Bittrex, the FTX crypto exchange also announced the introduction of tokenized stock trading on its platform. At the time of the announcement in October, FTX said that the exchange would be offering tech stocks such as Facebook, Netflix, Tesla, and Amazon.

According to a Beincrypto report, Bittrex had completed KYC (Know Your Customer) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) documentation. For now, the exchange said that holders can not withdraw the tokenized stocks to other exchanges or wallets. Users can only buy, sell, or trade the tokenized stocks on the Bittrex exchange. The digital token will enable more people to have access to top stocks.

The recent rise in asset tokenization among crypto exchanges has been raising reaction from the crypto community. In a tweet posted on the 27th of November, the founder and CEO of Global Macro Investor Raoul Pal talked about asset tokenization and unclear regulations:

“I don’t know, but I think that the probability of all of this coming is not inconsiderable. How are equities prices in that? Do we just move to a digital world instead, where the alpha lies in tokenized securities? How does real estate work?”
