Brave Announces Partnership Allow Users To Redeem BAT Rewards with Target, Netflix, Apple

Brave

Privacy-focused blockchain Brave Browser has announced a new partnership with TAP Network, a Rewards-as-a-Service company. This partnership, among other things, will now allow Brave users to redeem their Basic Attention Tokens (BAT) for real-world rewards. These rewards are available as offered by the many brands that are part of the TAP Network.

The new development now means that the uses for BAT tokens have now been significantly expanded.  The announcement says that brands and merchants currently part of the TAP Network are up to 250,000. Some of these brands include Apple, Hulu, Uber, Target, Walmart, Hotels.com, e.t.c.

To take advantage of this redemption, users must be desktop users and must have verified their wallet with Uphold. Once they have this, they may then connect their Uphold account via OAuth, to the TAP Network.

Brave CEO and co-founder Brendan Eich says that Brave helps promote customer privacy in a way other platforms don’t. Constant tracking, according to him, is “disregard for privacy” and he has assured that the TAP Network partnership will uphold Brave’s privacy standard.

“This partnership with TAP Network supports our mission of connecting consumers and brands in a respectful, mutually beneficial way, and contributes to the growth of our overall ecosystem by expanding the utility of BAT.”

Days ago, Brave announced that the platform now sees 4 million users every month.
