Chess Grandmaster Garry Kasparov Says Bitcoin Prevents Government Interference

Referring to ways crypto can protect human rights, Garry Kasparov said Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies would protect people’s finances from government intrusion.

Garry Kimovich Kasparov, a Russian chess grandmaster, recently said the rise in the use of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is inevitable. Speaking to Forbes in a July 23rd interview, the World Chess Champion declared his support for crypto and its benefits.

When asked what role cryptocurrencies play in human rights, he revealed some of the benefits and disadvantages of the various digital currencies. Referring to crypto as a new technology, he said “it’s not inherently good or bad,” adding that whatever is made of the crypto depends on the user. According to him, the fear of the negative use of cryptocurrencies is overrated.

Referring to Bitcoin’s relevance to human rights, he talked about the ongoing crisis about the government’s interference with people’s privacy. He added:

“People are looking for alternative means of protecting their wealth and saving their fortune against inflation or uncontrolled state interference with their financial affairs.”

According to the chess grandmaster who is presently a chairman to some human rights foundations, crypto gives some privacy to users. Furthermore, he explained that the constant rise in the popularity of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies is inevitable, as it prevents unnecessary invasion into private lives.

Last month, Paul Tudor Jones also lent his opinion on Bitcoin, which agrees with Kasparov’s point of view. Jones, a prominent traditional investor.
