Coinbase Adds It’s First Ethereum Blockchain Based ERC-20 Token, Ox

Coinbase, the San Francisco-based Crypto exchange startup adds 0x protocol token on its Coinbase Pro, its professional trading platform. On Thursday, the platform announced that they have started to accept deposits for ZRX via a blog post.

The blog post further specified that trading would be enabled around 5:00 A.M. UTC, or after at least 12 hours after the initial announcement. The addition marks the first time that Coinbase has added support for an ERC-20 token that runs on the ethereum network. Coinbase Pro general manager David Farmer wrote in the blog:

“Once sufficient liquidity is established, trading will begin on the ZRX/USD, ZRX/EUR and ZRX/BTC order books. ZRX trading will be accessible for users in most jurisdictions, but will not initially be available for residents of the state of New York.” 

Available through Coinbase Pro, ZRX is currently unavailable to investors through coinbase.com, or its iOS and Android apps. Following the pattern of some of it previous rollouts, the token will be fully integrated in four stages: transfer-only, post-only, limit-only and full trading.

As soon as the announcement went live the price of ZRX started to pump, reaching its highest point since mid-August as per the data from CoinMarketCap. As the time of writing the coin was priced at 84.9 cents, up 13 percent on the day.
