Coinbase Custody Adds Support for Ripple’s XRP

Coinbase | XRP | Ripple | Coinbase Custody

Ripple News: Coinbase Custody announced nearly a month ago that the platform will add Ripple (XRP) support for their custodian services. The deed has been done, targeted at institutional investors-custodian services, the project is conditioned to offer services to a user/client with a minimum virtual asset holding of $10 mil and an in-detail research process.

The Coinbase Custody storage service posted on their blog, in early August, that they are exploring a range of new digital assets:

Coinbase Custody is exploring the addition of many existing and forthcoming crypto assets for storage only, and will be working to add them as quickly and safely as possible. At this time, we have not yet considered these assets for trading. We are making this announcement internally at Coinbase and to the public at the same time to remain transparent with our customers about support for future assets.

Furthermore, the blog post elaborated that their users might experience public-facing APIs and other signs, which will indicate that they are conducting engineering works to support these new digital assets. However, the changes do not assure that they will be adding the digital assets and the firm will provide updates to their customers about the process and what to expect via their Twitter page.
