bitFlyer Europe has partnered with PayPal to allow users of the online payment system to fund their bitFlyer accounts seamlessly. Now, PayPal’s European users can deposit money into their bitFlyer accounts and buy cryptocurrencies. The PayPal option will be available to European users. If selected, they would be redirected to PayPal’s website for an instant transaction.
The COO of bitFlyer, Andy Bryant, commented on the integration:
“We’re proud to offer users the opportunity to use their PayPal accounts to deposit funds for purchasing crypto… Thousands of bitFlyer users already use PayPal for fiat transactions. Now, users can purchase bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the same way too.”
The crypto exchange users could only deposit money through traditional payment methods that take up to three business days. With the PayPay Partnership, however, payments will be almost instant.
In addition, the Business Strategy Manager at bitFlyer Europe, Jacek Bastin, expressed his excitement with the latest development. He added that the new deposit method is “frictionless, secure and reliable.”
Apart from bitFlyer, no other crypto exchange currently allows deposits through PayPal. However, Coinbase users can process their withdrawals into their PayPal accounts.
Launched in January 2018, bitFlyer Europe is poised for more expansion in the region as PayPal is a popular and dominant payment method in Europe.
Recently, bitFlyer has been expanding its business through partnerships. In June, Finance Magnates reported that bitFlyer partnered with Brave Software International SEZC to provide a service for the two companies’ users.
