Canada Based LocalCoinATM Inaugurates Foremost Ethereum ATM in Greater Toronto

LocalCoinATM, a Bitcoin ATM company based out of Canada have inaugurated the first Ethereum ATM in Toronto. They have also added support of Ethereum purchase in their other wings operating in Greater Toronto area.

This comes as an early Christmas present for residents of Great White North. The brand new ATM is located inside Hasty Market which is a popular line of convenience stores situated at 161 Church Street Toronto. The latest offering of LocalCoinATM will join its predecessors located in North York, Etobicoke, Markham, Brampton and Vaughan all situated around the Greater Toronto suburbs.

This news comes exactly one month after LocalCoinATM made the announcement of upgrading all its operational ATM’s with Litecoin support. This makes them the frontrunner company in Toronto supporting Litecoin purchase. Within days of this announcement, LocalCoinATM kept up the high spirit with the new of its latest ATM branch launch in Mississauga which will work in sync with Ethereum, Bitcoin and Litecoin.

The company website also showcases future plans of launching new ATM vending machines in Hamilton and Niagara Falls. As per the FAQ section of the company website, interested investors can purchase a minimum of Bitcoin worth $5 CAD from the ATM’s. However the ATM will accept only Canadian dollar at present and clients who wish to transact in Ethereum will need to have a running Ethereum wallet as a Bitcoin wallet will not suffice the former.

This development in cryptoworld comes as a great news for those who wish to park their funds in altcoins apart from the traditional Bitcoin mode. At present, Bitcoin holds the largest number of ATM’s to its credit worldwide. As per Bitcoin ATM Radar, 1464 Bitcoin ATM’s are currently operational worldwide. North America is the torchbearer of this race with a whopping 74% ATM’s in its kitty. Canada itself houses 201 ATM’s. In stark contrast the total number of Ethereum ATM’s on a global scale is 58 whereas Litecoin stands at 259.

But the latest move of LocalCoinATM will usher greater support for all these three crypto forms across the Greater Toronto frontier. And with further plans of expanding their ATM network, LocalCoinATM is all braced to take on the Golden Horseshoe area in days to come.
