A draft law pertaining to the regulation of cryptocurrencies have been prepared by the Russian Ministry of Finance. Anton Siluanov, the Russian finance minister was recently quoted as saying during an interview conducted by Rossiya 24 TV channel that,
“the Ministry of Finance has prepared a draft law, currently under consideration, which will determine the procedure for issuing, taxing, buying and circulation of cryptocurrency.”
The Russian Ministry of Finance presently takes part in the drafting of amendments in regards to the Russian legislation surrounding the digital financial technology market purview. The Russian president had earlier instructed the Central Bank and government to develop crypto regulatory legislations and a framework which shall bring into its purview ICO and mining activities within July 2018.
