European retailer Alza to accept Bitcoins in payment, also considering altcoins

Major European retailer giant, Alza has started accepting Bitcoins in form of payments. Alza has also installed Bitcoin ATMs in its outlets in Prague and Bratislava. Alza is facilitating Bitcoin payments online throughout its international empire, which also includes Austria, Germany and the UK.

This recent activity is due to the rising interest in Bitcoins all over the world. People and government has realized the power of this digital currency and the consumers have now started to use it as a currency.

Untill now Bitcoin was being considered like an investment option due to it’s rising prices and it was attracting investors and traders around the globe. At the time of publishing this article, Bitcoin was priced around $1900.

Bitcoin adoption is increasing this  year. Japan legalized Bitcoin on April this year and from then Bitcoins is on a rising streak. Not only in terms of prices but also in popularity and mass adoption. As Japan legalized it, Japan’s major retailers announced to accept Bitcoins in for of payments.

Also Australia recently legalized Bitcoins and soon Australian merchants may also start accepting Bitcoin in form of payments.

Alza, the European retail giant is looking not only after Bitcoin but may also add other altcoins such as Ethereum or Litecoin in coming future.

Alaza sells variety of goods  ranging from jewelry and watches to even electronics. Also it sells Bitcoin apparatus such as hardware wallets. The company also announced if a consumer claims any refunds, the company will refund it in Fiat currencies. Refund in Bitcoin is currently not available.

As mentioned above, Bitcoin adoption as a currency is increasing and thus various merchants are starting to accept Bitcoin in form of payment.

Even Subway has started to accept Bitcoin in form of payments.
