PornVisory, an Italian porn cryptocurrency service, has announced that it will pay its users in crypto, for viewing pornography on its service. PornVisory believes that the porn industry and the crypto sector can easily be two sides of a coin.
In a conversation with Cointelegraph, PornVisory founder Veronica Noschese says that crypto is the best for the porn industry, because of the inherent anonymity that the crypto sector offers.
“In the porn industry, there are a lot of issues regarding privacy and reputation. For example, even the biggest name in the industry, Pornhub, saw its account blocked by PayPal. Also, you might not want to pay your Premium account to watch porn with the bank account you share with your wife.”
Noschese has said that there will be no initial coin offering from PornVisory. However, the company plans to run its marketing plan, including airdropping some of the assets. Noschese also added that the platform is inspired by privacy-focused Basic Attention Token (BAT).
PornVisory is an adult new outlet strictly in Italian. It however plans to launch an English section and a third-party video site.
In November 2019, Pornhub offered models the option of crypto, after payment giant PayPal discontinued the use of its platform, for live payments. Pornhub offered XVG as an option, following an April 2018 partnership with Verge.
In January 2020, Pornhub added USDT payment as another option for its payment. Now, models may either use XVG or USDT.
