Kerala Blockchain Academy (IITM) has now become the first Indian institution ever to get Hyperledger membership by the Hyperledger Project which was hosted by Linux foundation. The chairman of the organization is M. Madhavan Nambiar, who is a retired IAS officer.
This academy along with Cambridge Centre For Alternative Finance (University of Cambridge) is now an associate member in the Hyperledger ecosystem.
The vision of the organization lies :
Hyperledger enables cross-industry blockchain technologies. It also aims to enable the development of different applications for different industries, platforms and also hardwares for business transactions. Hyperledger is open source and provides a collaboration globally for finance, IoT, supply chain, manufacturing and technology domains. Also, 14 new organizations across the world have joined as general members in the Hyperledger community. Hyperledger community has grown to 231 organizations now in more than 25 countries.

The academy can exploit the Blockchain technology. It help aid students, professionals, entrepreneurs industries and government agencies to explore the world of opportunities in Blockchain technology.
