Ledger Announced New Bluetooth Enabled Cryptocurrency Hardware Wallets

Ledger | Bluetooth Enabled Cryptocurrency Hardware Wallets | Cryptocurrency Wallets | Nano X

Ledger updating their services with Bluetooth to incorporate smartphones into the mix is aimed to make storing and using cryptocurrencies much secure and user-friendly. The French startup will soon launch a full-fledged mobile app named Ledger Live. The Ledger Live will have the same as the desktop app and allow the users to install new apps, check their balances and manage transactions.

Available form the January 28th, the mobile app will allow the existing Ledger users to check their balances in read-only mode thanks to public addresses. So far Ledger has sold 1.5 million Ledger Nano. The new Nano X looks more or less like the Nano S, a USB key-shaped device with a screen and a couple of buttons. However, the screen of the Nano X is slightly bigger.

While Nano S was limited to 18 different cryptocurrencies, Nano X could store up to 100 different crypto assets as the device supports 1,100 different tokens overall. Another important feature of Nano X is that other companies will be able to build mobile apps that work with the wallet.

Similar to other Ledger devices, the private keys never leave your Ledger wallet. Which means that even if the hackers get access to the computer or mobile phone, crypto assets will be far from their reach.
