The Bitcoin halving event expected next month is easily the crypto industry’s most anticipated event. The major reason for this anticipation is the expectation that Bitcoin’s price will surge, pulling in huge returns for its investors. As many people spread the word, a popular ultimate fighting championship (UFC) has joined in.

Changing his name on Twitter, former UFC fighter Ben Askren reminds is many Twitter followers that he is still a Bitcoin proponent. He changed his name to “Bitcoin Halving May 13”

Apart from his recognition as an experienced fighter, Askren is also known to give his 2 cents about the Bitcoin market. Mostly in support. In a recent tweet posted last month, Askren responded to someone who asked him for advice with putting some money into cryptocurrency. The fighter asked the person to keep his investment simple and “just buy Bitcoin.”

Earlier today on Twitter, a user tweeted at Bitcoin with an opinion about the halving. According to the tweet, Bitcoin will sell-off in May and will not spike after the halving like everyone expects because the halving is already priced in. In response, Askren disagreed.

The fighter has now changed his Twitter name again.

Back in 2018, the Litecoin Foundation announced that its sponsorship of a UFC event, as the official cryptocurrency partner.
