Ripple is one of the cryptocurrencies which has recently been in a lot of limelight after its considerable run since the start of 2017. What makes Ripple to draw the attention of investors is that unlike other popular cryptocurrencies like Ethereum and Bitcoin, it is not completely a decentralized technology. Rather the modus-operandi of ripple suggest that Ripple technology is aimed at bridging the gap between the traditional banking system and the decentralized technology.
The latest reports from the industry, a new Ripple gateway is soon to be announced and according to the Ripple Exchange LLC, the development for this has already begun in April 2017. Part of this project which involves shifting to a new gateway makes use of the Consensus Ledger which is Ripple’s blockchain technology.

However, there are very skim details available as to what exactly Ripple is planning to introduce with its new gateway. A safe and probable prediction to make at this point of time is that it could be aimed at optimizing the existing services and make the transaction process more fast and convenient.
Ripple has been constantly asking for public opinion in this regard and looking for valuable feedback before building things. This might look as an unusual way to go about, however, it gives the people a change to voice their opinion as to how they wish their service to be built.
The first release of this platform will take place on October 15, according to some industry sources. This is just around ten days from now and coincides with the Ripple Swell Conference that is scheduled in the same week.
Such positive steps taken in this direction makes us to believe that the team at Ripple is taking some very concrete steps at the moment and the future of Ripple looks quite promising ahead.
