This week, under the name of “University Blockchain Research Initiative,” Ripple created a program that seeks to boost the adoption of the blockchain technologies. Ripple had donated $50 million to top 17 universities in the world in order to kick developments in blockchain and cryptocurrency to high gear.
Following the footsteps is, Waltonchain, the Blockchain company tasking themselves with building a “business ecosystem”, has officially announced that they are to launch a Blockchain research institute.
The institute will be among the first of its kind and will act as an educational cultivation space for budding blockchain developers. According to the announcement, the institute will launch two 6-month education and training courses at the end of August 2018.
Representatives from the Ministry of Science & ICT of South Korea, and those of the blockchain institute are expected to be present to deliver speeches and formally introduce the Institute to the world, the statement signified.
The opening ceremony will take place on the 8th of June and will be attended by the representatives from the Ministry, as well as those from the Blockchain institute. The announcement concluded.
