Robinhood Trading App Unable To Handle Trades For The Second Time

CME

Popular trading app for stocks and cryptocurrency Robinhood has run into another issue. In a recent tweet from the team, Robinhood said trading was suspended.

“Trading is currently down on Robinhood and we’re investigating the issue. We’re focused on getting back up and running as soon as possible and we’ll update the status page with the latest.”

It, however, did not say what exactly the problem is.

Shortly after, Robinhood announced in another tweet that it had restored normalcy, however partially. Its status page currently shows that everything is back to normal.

This is the second time the Robinhood platform is experiencing an outage. Just last week, many customers were unable to carry out their trades on the platform. Some users could not access their accounts at all, while others who were able to, could not run exchange orders or carry out other normal services.

At the time, Robinhood admitted that there were issues with the platform but also did not provide any information. It was eventually able to get things under control.

Last year, Robinhood raised $200 million in a funding round. The company said the funding will help offer more services and increase its rate of expansion. Robinhood did not specify any investors for the round. It, however, did say that the new funds were from existing investors who wanted to be unidentified.
