Surge in Ethereum’s Value As FB and Google Decide to Lift Ban on Crypto Ads

Ethereum value surge | Ethereum updates | Facebook crypto ads | Google crypto ads | Brian Armstrong | Coinbase updates

A few months back, most of the biggest social media platform exempted famous crypto exchanges such as Coinbase from posting ads about digital currency and Initial Coin Offerings. The ban has been lifted now as on Saturday when Brian Armstrong – the CEO of the US-based digital currency trading platform posted a tweet with an attached Coinbase advert in Facebook.

Armstrong said,

“Facebook placed a ban on digital currency ads earlier this year, but he is proud to say now that they have been whitelisted and exempted from the ban.”

He said they are back to introduce more people to an open financial system. The news got the crypto community very excited and the post gathered more than 190 comments.

World’s number one search engine Google also seems to have changed its mind regarding digital currencies and had decided to lift the ban on crypto ads, as it has now added Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin (BTC), and Litecoin (LTC) to its online currency exchange converter.

The co-founder of Google, Sergey Brin, has started mining ether with his 10-year old son and is excited about the “Technological Renaissance” that is cryptocurrency. Unless you have been living under a stone for the past decade, Google has changed the way we search online, and now one of the forefathers of search engines is knighting cryptocurrency and is overflowing with his confidence for ethereum.

Not just ethereum, but most of the cryptocurrencies, including the bitcoin present in the crypto market are presently in the green. The second largest digital currency in the world based on market cap is trading at $462.77 after an increase of less than 1 percent over the past twenty-four hours. The market cap of Ethereum (ETH) is $47.19 billion and its trading volume over the past twenty-four hours is $1.39 billion.

If users search for any of the aforementioned digital currencies, the search engine will automatically display the current exchange rate of the digital currency in the local currency of the user. However, it’s worth noting that the exchange rate of Google is slightly different from Coinmarektcap.com.
