Bitcoin News: OpenNode, a Bitcoin payment processor successfully concluded a seed round, raising $1.25 million with billionaire venture capitalist and Bitcoin bull Tim Draper. Draper excitedly shares the announcement to his 112K Twitter followers, stating that Bitcoin (BTC) will now be accepted at Starbucks, Amazon.com, and Teslas.

OpenNode boasts itself to be the ‘the easiest way to accept bitcoin’, the $1.25 million funding will be incorporated to refine and market their platform. João Almeida, co-founder, and CTO of OpenNode stated:
‘We are very excited to have Draper Associates on board because they share in our long-term vision of hyperbitcoinization. We plan on staying as a bitcoin-only payments platform, and Tim gets that. By 2019, we plan to be the leading bitcoin payments platform. Also, more importantly, we aim to push microtransactions onto gaming/streaming/content platform and create payment models never before possible.’
