Tron (TRX) Will Soon Exceed 200 DApps, Says Justin Sun

Tron (TRX) has been soaring high in terms of the number of smart contracts and DApps on its network ever since Tron Virtual Machine (TVM) was activated in October of last year. A tweet from the Tron’s founder and CEO, Justin Sun announced that the network will soon exceed 200 dApps soon.

In just three months of TVM’s activation, 3,856 smart contracts are now live on the network, which has been triggered a whopping 134.2 Million times. The number of  Decentralized Applications (dApps) has been on the rise on a daily basis. Noting the progress, Sun tweeted:

The Tron Accelerator

The steady rise in numbers is all thanks to the ongoing Tron Accelerator plan with $1 Million in prizes. Aimed at empowering developers and startups to develop DApps on the Tron protocol, the accelerator plan was launched in early December.

The deadline for projects to be submitted in the accelerator program was between the 1st of December and the 4th of January. The rewards worth $1 Million is broken down as follows:

• $200,000 for the 1st Prize Winner
• $100,000 for the 2nd Prize Winners (2)
• $50,000 for the 3rd Prize Winners (3)
• 8 Special Prizes worth $30,000 each. A total of $240,000
• 42 Finalist Prizes worth $5,000 each. A total of $210,000

According to an announcement on the project’s Discord channel, the judges have contemplated the projects and the winners have already been emailed:

The grand prize winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) will have a chance to attend the NiTRON Summit with all expenses catered for by the Tron Foundation.
