Ethereum Mining Campaign Led By UNICEF For Donating To Benevolent Causes

UNICEF is encouraging PC gamers in mining Ethereum and contributing their earnings to the betterment of our society. This charity campaign named Game Chaingers started from 2nd February and is expected to continue for two months.

It has been making use of high level graphics card which can mine cryptos, thus functioning as “humanitarian tool[s].” UNICEF stated in this context that:

“Today, humanitarian collections often solicit the same people with the same methods, but cryptocurrencies and their revolutionary approach are an opportunity to raise funds differently. Have you heard of Bitcoin? The Ethereum is the same, except that you can more easily ‘mine’ the Ethereum coins via your computer and that money will go directly into the UNICEF wallet.”

The working mechanism of this donation program differs substantially from its peers.  The Ethereum mining program of UNICEF can be turned on when participating gamers decide to rest their tired nerves and take a break from their computers. The design of the donation program is such that it will not divulge anything apart from its access to the computer’s processing power. The website states that, “Through the use of mining we create an opportunity for those who cannot give or have never had the opportunity to do so.” 360 contributors have been registered till date to Game Chaingers who have already mined 900 euros which shall be donated towards the betterment of Syrian children.
