Wolverhampton Wanderers Partners with Bitci Technology to Launch Fan Tokens

Wolverhampton

English Premier League’s Wolverhampton Wanderers Football Club has entered into a multi-year partnership with Turkish blockchain platform Bitci Technology to launch its fan token. Initially, the Wolves fan token will be accessible to the public on Bitci’s exchange platform, after which it will be available on other exchange platforms worldwide.

The partnership is set to include Bitci’s logo on the English Premier League jerseys and screens in the stadium, Molineaux. It will also display on the LED advertising boards and their online platform. This will begin during the 2021 – 2022 football season.

Over time, Bitci Technology has been partnering with sports teams to launch their fan tokens. The infrastructure technology firm recently became the official fan token partner for McLaren and Rangers. However, Wolverhampton will become Bitci Technology’s first Premier League client.

Speaking on the development, Wolves’ general manager for marketing & commercial growth, Russel Jones, said:

“We are delighted to welcome Bitci to the Wolves family, as our official 21/22 Sleeve partner. It was evident from our early conversations with Bitci that they share our ambitious growth mindset and our disruptive challenger ethos.”

According to the CEO of Bitci.com, Onur Altan Tan, the Premier League is the world’s most-followed football league. He further expressed his pleasure with the Wolves partnership.
