From April 28th-29th, Russian capital Moscow will host an international Cryptocurrency Conference for Women. The Cryptocurrency conference, dedicated to raising awareness among women about cryptocurrencies. The organizers of the event, the Crypto Lady Association, claims that it is the world’s largest cryptocurrency conference for women.
Anastasia Pilipchuk, founder of the Crypto Lady Association and organizer of the event, told Bitnovosti:
“Women can earn through cryptocurrencies much easier than it looks at first sight. Cryptocurrency is simply made for women.”
The Cryptocurrency conference will take place in Zolotoe Koltso Hotel, Moscow where experts and entrepreneurs will tell the participants of the conference what cryptocurrency is and how it works.
Attendants with prior experience in blockchain technology, initial coin offerings or ICOs, or other related projects have advanced courses prepared tailored to increase their knowledge to a more professional level. In all, 24 female experts, most of them Russians, are scheduled to speak in the cryptocurrency conference. They will share advice on how to start with an initial investment and recommendations on storage options.
Among them are Elina Sidorenko, head of the Duma’s interdepartmental working group tasked with assessing cryptocurrencies, and Nadejda Surova, member of the parliamentary expert council on cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies.
Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin have enjoyed increasing popularity over the recent months and years in Russia. The Russian Association of Cryptocurrencies and Blockchain or RACIB states that ICOs with Russian participation contribute to 10% of the global market.
That being said, although cryptocurrencies like bitcoin have increasing popularity in Russia, only 7 percent of those who are active in the crypto economy are women.
The Cryptocurrency conference will be live-streamed in 74 countries worldwide according to the organizers. The event welcomes anyone who wants to join, even men.
