Shortly after its listing announcement on Coinbase Pro, YFI jumped to $35,000 on Binance. This is a 63% increase to $22,000 since late trading on Wednesday. Following its launch in mid-August, the Yearn Finance governing coin has been surging massively. Also in August, the price of YFI surpassed Bitcoin’s price.
However, earlier today, YFI dropped to $32,700. At that time, it was still an increase of 20% in less than 24 hours. At the moment, YFI is up 10.52% and trading at $34,149.90. With a total supply of 30,000 YFI, Yearn Finance has a market capitalization of $1,023,384,607.
As revealed in a tweet by Coinbase Pro, the trading platform will list YFI from the 14th of September. The tweet further noted:
“…trading will begin on or after 9AM (PT) Tuesday Sept 15. If liquidity conditions are met.”
According to a blog post by Coinbase, support for YFI will not be available to New York residents. In addition, trading will begin on the scheduled date once the platform has sufficient supply of YFI to begin transactions.
Also, Coinbase added that there would be an official announcement when YFI becomes available on their website and mobile apps. For now, the trading platform said customers can transfer their YFI tokens into their Coinbase Pro account before trading begins.
