YouTube has again gone on its crypto censorship spree, with the recent wave affecting more popular cryptocurrency channels.
In a recent tweet, MMCrypto announced that the channel had received its first warning from YouTube. In the attached video, he says that this is the first strike and with two more, the channel will get permanently banned. He suggests that the timing is especially worse because people need to be educated now, more than ever. He also added that education should be freely allowed and not censored.
“In the middle of this crisis when people need to get educated about Bitcoin and the flaws of the financial system, these crypto channels…are getting deleted.”
Hours later, another crypto content creator known as The Moon, announced on Twitter that his channel is “under attack” by YouTube and has also received a warning.
On April 7, DoopieCash tweeted that YouTube deleted the channel without any warning. The tweet specified that the channel did not receive any warning or strike and has been posting videos for three years, with over 700 videos so far. CryptoCrow also announced a deletion.
Back in December, a few crypto content creators complained that YouTube had taken down their videos, calling it crypto censorship. Shortly after, YouTube admitted that it was an error but even after that, videos were still not returned.
